Our company is seeking a highly qualified and experienced Database Administrator to join our team in Washington, D.C. This is a contract position with a salary of $1500 per month. The ideal candidate will have experience in database management, maintenance, and optimization. They should also have strong problem-solving skills and be able to work independently. This job does not require English proficiency, making it suitable for non-native speakers or freshers. Accommodation will be provided.

Responsibilities:
- Design, implement and maintain databases according to business needs
- Monitor database performance and troubleshoot any issues that arise
- Ensure data security and integrity by implementing proper backup and recovery procedures
- Optimize database performance through regular maintenance and tuning
- Collaborate with other teams to develop data-driven solutions for business needs
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in database administration

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Database Administrator
- Strong understanding of database management systems (SQL Server, MySQL, etc.)
- Experience with database design, optimization, troubleshooting, and performance tuning
- Knowledge of data security best practices
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
- Experience working collaboratively with cross-functional teams
- Ability to communicate technical information effectively to non-technical stakeholders

Preferred qualifications:
- Master's degree in Computer Science or related field
- Relevant certifications (e.g. Oracle Certified Professional)
- Experience with cloud-based databases (AWS RDS, Azure SQL)
- Knowledge of scripting languages (Python, PowerShell)
