Computer Support Specialist

As a Computer Support Specialist, you will be responsible for providing technical assistance to computer system users. You will diagnose and troubleshoot hardware and software issues, install and configure computer systems, and maintain computer networks. Your role will also involve training users on new technologies and providing timely support to ensure efficient use of computer systems.

Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and resolve technical issues with hardware, software, and network systems
- Install and configure computer systems and software applications
- Train users on new technologies, including hardware, software, and network systems
- Provide timely support to ensure efficient use of computer systems
- Maintain accurate records of all technical issues reported and resolved
- Collaborate with other IT professionals to develop solutions for complex technical problems
- Conduct regular system updates and upgrades to ensure optimal performance
- Monitor network activity to identify potential security threats or breaches
- Document standard procedures for troubleshooting common technical issues

Requirements:
- Proven work experience as a Computer Support Specialist or similar role
- Excellent knowledge of computer hardware, software applications, and network systems
- Ability to diagnose technical issues and provide prompt resolutions
- Familiarity with remote desktop applications for remote troubleshooting support
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts in simple terms
- Detail-oriented with good organizational skills for maintaining accurate records of technical issues reported and resolved
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment

Preferred qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or related field preferred but not required
- Relevant certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+ or Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA)
