Heavy Equipment Operator

We are hiring a skilled and experienced Heavy Equipment Operator to join our team in Funchal. As a Heavy Equipment Operator, you will be responsible for operating various types of heavy equipment such as bulldozers, excavators, loaders, and cranes to move materials, clear land, and assist in construction projects. Your role will be vital in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our equipment.

Responsibilities:
- Operate heavy equipment according to safety standards and company policies
- Inspect equipment before use and report any malfunctions or damages
- Monitor operations and adjust controls to maintain accurate levels
- Perform routine maintenance on equipment as needed
- Load and unload materials from trucks or other vehicles
- Follow project plans and instructions from supervisors
- Communicate effectively with team members to ensure smooth operations
- Complete necessary paperwork and documentation accurately

Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience operating heavy equipment
- Valid biometric passport for international travel (if not a citizen of Portugal)
- Physically fit and able to work in outdoor conditions for extended periods of time
- Ability to read blueprints and follow project plans
- Strong communication skills and ability to work well with others
- Flexibility to work varying shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays if needed

Salary:
We offer a competitive salary of $900 per week for this position.
