A renowned bakery in Almada is seeking a skilled and experienced Pastry Chef to join our team. As a Pastry Chef, you will be responsible for creating and preparing a variety of baked goods, including pastries, cakes, and breads. You will work closely with our Head Baker to develop new recipes and ensure the quality and consistency of our products. The ideal candidate will have a passion for pastry-making, excellent time management skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities:
- Create and execute pastry recipes according to established standards
- Monitor inventory levels of baking ingredients and supplies
- Collaborate with Head Baker to develop new products
- Ensure all baked goods are presented in an appealing manner
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness and safety in the kitchen
- Train junior staff members on pastry-making techniques
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and techniques

Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Pastry Chef or similar role
- Strong knowledge of baking techniques and methods
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently under pressure
- Excellent time management skills
- Attention to detail with a focus on quality control
- Creativity and willingness to try new ideas
- Strong communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

Education: Culinary degree or equivalent preferred.
Experience: Minimum 3 years experience as a Pastry Chef.
Language Skills: Proficiency in English (Portuguese is also preferred)
Nationality Preference: Portuguese or any European nationality.
