Executive Chef - Indian Cuisine
We are seeking a skilled Executive Chef who specializes in Indian cuisine to join our team at our restaurant in El-Ain, UAE. As an Executive Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily kitchen operations, creating new and innovative dishes, and maintaining high standards of food quality and presentation.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and lead a team of kitchen staff including sous chefs, line cooks, and prep cooks
- Train and supervise staff on proper cooking techniques and food safety standards
- Create menus that reflect the diverse flavors of Indian cuisine while also incorporating local ingredients and customer preferences
- Order and maintain inventory of all food supplies while ensuring budget targets are met
- Monitor food costs and strive to reduce waste while maintaining quality standards
- Ensure all dishes are prepared in a timely manner and presented according to restaurant standards
- Collaborate with other departments such as front-of-house staff to ensure a seamless dining experience for guests
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen at all times
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of experience as an Executive Chef with a strong background in Indian cuisine
- Proficient in English with excellent communication skills
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and train kitchen staff
- Knowledge of food cost control methods
- Creative mindset with the ability to develop new dishes while also following traditional recipes
Salary: 1200$ per month (tax-free) + accommodation provided
