Entry-Level Database Administrator
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as an Entry-Level Database Administrator in St-Petersburg, Russia. As a Database Administrator, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining our company's databases, ensuring their security, reliability, and efficiency. Responsibilities:
- Monitor database performance and troubleshoot issues as needed
- Maintain database security by implementing access controls and backups
- Perform data backups and disaster recovery procedures
- Create and maintain documentation of all database processes
- Identify areas for improvement in database systems and propose solutions
- Collaborate with other IT team members to ensure the smooth functioning of databases
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
- Proven experience working with database management systems (DBMS)
- Knowledge of SQL language and ability to write complex queries
- Familiarity with database design principles and data normalization techniques
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail
Preferred Skills:
- Experience working with Oracle or MySQL databases
- Understanding of data warehousing concepts and ETL processes
- Knowledge of database security best practices
Salary: $1600 per month (negotiable based on experience)
