Chef de Cuisine - Malayalee Cuisine
The Chef de Cuisine will be responsible for overseeing the preparation and cooking of authentic Malayalee dishes at our restaurant in Chelyabinsk. They will be in charge of creating menus, training kitchen staff, and ensuring that all dishes are cooked to perfection. The ideal candidate must have a deep understanding and passion for Malayalee cuisine, as well as experience working in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
Responsibilities:
- Create and update menus featuring traditional Malayalee dishes
- Train kitchen staff on proper cooking techniques and presentation of dishes
- Ensure all food is prepared and cooked to the highest standards
- Supervise and assist with the preparation of ingredients and cooking of dishes
- Monitor food inventory levels and order supplies when needed
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen area at all times
Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years experience working as a chef, preferably in a Malayalee restaurant or with extensive knowledge of Malayalee cuisine
- Knowledge of traditional cooking techniques and ingredients used in Malayalee cuisine
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to train and motivate kitchen staff
- Excellent time management skills
- Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to communicate effectively in English
Salary: 1200$ per month
Location: Chelyabinsk - preference for candidates from Kerala, India (Malayalam speakers) but open to other nationalities with relevant experience.
