Librarian - Lusail, Qatar


As a Librarian, you will be responsible for managing and organizing the library resources in Lusail, Qatar. Your main role will be to assist and support library users in accessing information and resources for their academic or personal needs. This may involve helping them find specific materials, providing instruction on how to use library resources, and recommending materials based on their interests or research topics.

Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the library collection by cataloging new materials, organizing existing materials, and maintaining accurate records of all library resources.
- Assist library users in finding information and conducting research by utilizing various reference tools and search techniques.
- Provide instruction to library users on how to effectively use the library's online databases, e-books, journals, and other electronic resources.
- Develop and maintain relationships with faculty members to understand their research needs and help them access relevant resources.
- Plan and conduct workshops or training sessions for students on topics related to information literacy, research skills, and proper citation techniques.
- Collaborate with other librarians to develop new programs or services that meet the changing needs of the community.
- Stay up-to-date with new technologies and trends in the field of librarianship to enhance the library's offerings.

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Library Science or a related field.
- Proven experience working as a Librarian, preferably in an academic setting.
- Strong knowledge of different reference tools and search techniques.
- Familiarity with cataloging systems such as Dewey Decimal Classification or Library of Congress Classification.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to interact with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with other team members.

Salary:
$900 per month.

Location:
Lusail, Qatar.
