Librarian (Part-time)


We are seeking a part-time Librarian to join our team at our library in Hawalli. As a Librarian, you will be responsible for managing the library's collection, assisting library users with their research needs, and promoting library services and resources. This is an ideal position for a detail-oriented individual with a passion for books and helping others.

Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the library's collection, including cataloging, shelving, and weeding materials
- Assist library users with finding resources and conducting research
- Develop and implement programs to promote the library's services and resources
- Maintain accurate records of library transactions and statistics
- Assist with budget planning and purchasing of new materials
- Train and supervise volunteers or student workers as needed

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Library Science or related field preferred
- Experience working in a library setting preferred but not required
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal
- Familiarity with library management systems is a plus

Salary: 900$ per month (part-time)

Location: Hawalli, Kuwait
