Database Administrator

As a Database Administrator, you will be responsible for maintaining and optimizing our company's databases in Lisbon. You will ensure the security, integrity, and performance of our databases, as well as troubleshoot any issues that may arise. This is an urgent job with a salary of 1400$ per month.

Responsibilities:
- Install and configure database software
- Monitor database performance and make necessary adjustments
- Develop backup and recovery plans
- Implement security measures to protect data
- Troubleshoot database issues and perform necessary repairs or adjustments
- Collaborate with development teams to optimize database design and functionality
- Keep abreast of new database technologies and trends

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
- Proven work experience as a Database Administrator or similar role
- Strong knowledge of database management systems (MySQL, Oracle, SQL Server)
- Familiarity with database design principles and SQL querying language
- Experience with performance tuning, backup & recovery, and security protocols
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve database issues quickly and efficiently
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team environment

Preferred:
- Experience with cloud-based databases (AWS, Azure)
- Certification in Database Administration (e.g. Oracle Certified Professional)
