Job Title: Carpenter for Residential Construction in Akron, Ohio



We are seeking an experienced Carpenter to join our residential construction team in Akron, Ohio. As a Carpenter, you will be responsible for constructing, installing, and repairing structures and fixtures made of wood, plywood, and wallboard. This includes building frameworks, walls, floors, and roofs using hand and power tools.

Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret blueprints to determine materials needed and dimensions of structure
- Measure materials and mark cutting lines on them according to blueprints
- Cut or shape materials using hand tools or power tools
- Assemble and fasten materials to make framework or props using nails, screws, or adhesives
- Install structures and fixtures such as windows, frames, floorings, trimmings, doors etc.
- Inspect individual parts during construction to ensure they are level and correctly installed
- Repair or replace damaged framework or other structures
- Follow safety guidelines at all times

Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Carpenter in residential construction
- Knowledge of building materials and their uses
- Ability to read blueprints and use measuring tools accurately
- Strong understanding of safety procedures and practices
- Excellent hand-eye coordination with the ability to use hand tools efficiently
- Physical stamina to lift heavy materials and work on your feet for extended periods of time
Salary: $900 per week.
