QA Engineer - Porto, Portugal



As a QA Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality of our biometric passport technology in our Porto office. Your main duties will include creating and executing test plans, identifying and reporting bugs, and working closely with development teams to ensure timely delivery of high-quality products.

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain test plans and test cases for new and existing features
- Execute manual and automated tests to identify bugs and issues
- Report bugs in a clear and concise manner, including steps to reproduce
- Collaborate with development teams to resolve issues and ensure timely delivery of high-quality products
- Continuously improve testing processes and procedures to increase efficiency
- Work closely with product managers to understand requirements and provide feedback on potential quality risks

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
- 2+ years of experience in software testing or quality assurance
- Experience with manual and automated testing tools (e.g. Selenium, JMeter)
- Knowledge of software development life cycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team

Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with biometric technology or security systems is a plus
- ISTQB certification or other relevant training/certifications in software testing
- Knowledge of programming languages such as Java or Python
- Familiarity with version control systems (e.g. Git)
