Librarian (Medina, Saudi Arabia)

We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Librarian to join our team in Medina, Saudi Arabia. As a Librarian, you will be responsible for managing and organizing our library's resources, assisting patrons with research and reference inquiries, and developing and implementing library programs and services.

Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain the library's collection of books, periodicals, audiovisual materials, and other resources
- Catalogue new materials using the Dewey Decimal System or other classification systems
- Assist patrons with research and reference inquiries through various sources such as databases, online resources, and traditional print materials
- Develop and implement library programs and services to meet the needs of our diverse community
- Plan and conduct workshops or training sessions to promote information literacy skills among patrons
- Collaborate with other librarians or professionals to acquire new materials or resources for the library
- Keep accurate records of library usage statistics and prepare reports as needed

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Library Science or a related field
- Minimum of 2 years of experience working in a library setting
- Strong knowledge of cataloguing systems, information retrieval tools, and electronic databases
- Excellent communication skills in English (Arabic proficiency is a plus)
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with colleagues
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Familiarity with current trends in library technology is preferred

Salary: $1300 per month

This position is suitable for men who have their own visa. Preference will be given to applicants from African or Egyptian backgrounds.
