Junior Librarian
We are searching for a detail-oriented and passionate Junior Librarian to join our team at the Faro Public Library. In this role, you will be responsible for assisting with the daily operations of the library, including organizing and maintaining the collection, providing reference assistance to patrons, and supporting library programs and events. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate or someone looking to start their career in the library field.

Responsibilities:
- Organize and maintain library materials in a systematic and accessible manner
- Assist patrons with finding books, articles, and other resources
- Provide reference assistance by answering questions and helping with research
- Promote library services, programs, and events to patrons
- Help plan and implement activities for children, teens, and adults
- Perform basic clerical tasks such as checking in/out materials, shelving books, and processing new items
- Keep track of overdue materials and collect fines
- Stay up-to-date on current trends in librarianship through professional development opportunities

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Library Science or related field preferred
- Previous experience working in a library or customer service environment is a plus
- Knowledge of library cataloging systems and databases
- Strong communication skills to interact with patrons of all ages
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team

Working Conditions:
