Part-Time Librarian

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Part-Time Librarian to join our team at the Khanpur Public Library. The ideal candidate will have a passion for literature and promoting literacy, as well as excellent communication skills and a customer service mindset.

Responsibilities:
- Assist patrons with finding and checking out materials, such as books, magazines, and DVDs
- Organize and maintain library materials using the Dewey Decimal System
- Create engaging displays to promote different genres or themes within the library
- Plan and lead educational programs for children, such as storytime sessions or book clubs
- Assist with general library operations, including shelving books and maintaining cleanliness of the library space

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Library Science or related field preferred
- Previous experience working in a library setting is a plus
- Knowledge of the Dewey Decimal System and experience with cataloging systems
- Strong customer service skills and ability to assist patrons of all ages and backgrounds
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Fluent in English, proficiency in Urdu is preferred
