Librarian - Khanpur, Pakistan



We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Librarian to join our team in Khanpur, Pakistan. As a Librarian, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining our library collection, assisting patrons with research and reference inquiries, and developing programs to promote literacy and reading within the community.

Responsibilities:
- Organize and maintain library materials including books, periodicals, audiovisual materials, and digital resources
- Assist patrons with finding and checking out materials, as well as providing research and reference assistance
- Develop and implement programs to promote literacy and reading for all age groups
- Create displays and exhibits to showcase library resources
- Manage the library's budget and make recommendations for new purchases
- Catalog new materials using the Dewey Decimal System or other established classification systems
- Train and supervise library assistants or volunteers
- Stay up-to-date on current trends in literature, technology, and information management within the field of librarianship

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Library Science or related field (Master's degree preferred)
- Previous experience working in a library setting preferred
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail
- Strong customer service skills
- Knowledge of library management systems and cataloging procedures
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Proficiency in English (knowledge of other languages is an asset)
- Passion for promoting literacy within the community

Salary: $1000 per month with accommodation included. This position is suitable for both men and women.
