Civil Engineer - Funchal, Portugal
We are currently hiring a skilled Civil Engineer to join our team in Funchal, Portugal. As a Civil Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, planning, and overseeing construction projects from start to finish. Your main goal will be to ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and meet all necessary regulations and standards.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct site visits and surveys to gather information for project planning
- Prepare detailed project plans, including timelines and budgets
- Collaborate with architects, contractors, and other professionals to develop project designs
- Obtain necessary permits and approvals from local authorities
- Oversee construction progress and ensure adherence to plans and specifications
- Conduct quality control checks on materials and workmanship
- Provide technical support and guidance to construction workers
- Solve any issues or delays that may arise during the construction process
- Evaluate potential risks and make recommendations for mitigation strategies
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in civil engineering or construction management
- Knowledge of building codes, regulations, and standards in Portugal
- Proficiency in AutoCAD or other design software is preferred
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively with a team
- Biometric passport is required for international travel
Salary: 1100$ per month (negotiable based on experience)
