Contract Accountant in Lisbon


We are hiring a Contract Accountant to join our team in Lisbon. As a Contract Accountant, you will be responsible for managing all financial transactions and ensuring that they are accurately recorded and reported. You will work closely with the finance team to provide timely and accurate financial information to support business decisions.

Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and maintain financial records, including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger, and bank reconciliations
- Review and analyze financial statements to identify any discrepancies or errors
- Assist with budget preparation and variance analysis
- Ensure compliance with local tax laws and regulations
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for management
- Conduct regular audits to ensure accuracy of financial data
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business goals

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- At least 2 years of experience as an Accountant or similar role
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices
- Experience with accounting software (e.g. QuickBooks)
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
- Biometric passport or eligibility to work in Portugal
