A reputable company in Almada is seeking a highly skilled Database Administrator to join their team on a contract basis. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of database management systems and will be responsible for ensuring the security, integrity, and performance of the company's databases.

Key Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and maintain database structures for optimal performance
- Monitor database activity and troubleshoot any issues that arise
- Ensure data security by implementing regular backups and disaster recovery plans
- Collaborate with development teams to optimize database usage for applications
- Perform regular maintenance tasks such as updates, patches, and upgrades to keep databases running smoothly
- Develop and enforce data standards and guidelines to ensure consistency across databases
- Provide technical support for end users and assist with data extraction and reporting

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field
- Proven experience as a Database Administrator or similar role
- Strong knowledge of database management systems (MySQL, SQL Server, Oracle)
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
- Excellent communication skills

This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated Database Administrator looking to take on new challenges in a dynamic work environment. The salary for this position is $1400 per month.
