Pastry Chef in Lisbon, Portugal
We are in search of a skilled and creative Pastry Chef to join our team in Lisbon, Portugal. As a Pastry Chef, you will be responsible for preparing and creating a variety of desserts, pastries, and baked goods for our bakery or restaurant.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and execute the pastry menu, ensuring quality and consistency in taste and presentation.
- Prepare doughs, fillings, batters, icings, sauces and other ingredients needed for pastries.
- Bake various types of breads, cakes, cookies, tarts, pies and other pastries.
- Decorate pastries using different techniques such as piping or glazing.
- Ensure proper storage and rotation of ingredients to maintain freshness.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the pastry kitchen.
- Train and supervise junior pastry chefs or assistants when necessary.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Pastry Chef or similar role.
- Knowledge of different baking techniques and methods.
- Ability to create unique designs for pastries using various tools and techniques.
- Excellent time management skills to meet production deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail for plating desserts beautifully.
- Creativity and innovation to develop new pastry recipes or adapt existing ones.
- Good communication skills to work well with the kitchen team.
Qualifications:
- Culinary degree or diploma from a recognized institution preferred but not required.
- Minimum of 2 years experience as a Pastry Chef in a bakery or restaurant setting.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations is essential.
Salary:
The salary for this position is 1400$ per month.
