Executive Chef - Faro, Portugal (Contract)
Our busy restaurant in Faro is seeking an experienced Executive Chef to join our team on a contract basis. As the Executive Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our kitchen operations, including menu planning, food preparation, and kitchen staff management. This is a hands-on role that requires strong leadership skills and a passion for creating high-quality dishes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain menus that are innovative, seasonal, and in line with our restaurant's concept
- Oversee all food preparation to ensure consistent quality and presentation
- Manage inventory and ordering of ingredients to maintain cost control
- Train and supervise kitchen staff to ensure efficient operations and high-quality output
- Implement and maintain proper sanitation procedures in the kitchen
- Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure excellent customer service experience
Requirements:
- At least 5 years of experience as an Executive Chef or similar role in a high-volume restaurant setting
- Culinary degree or equivalent training preferred
- Strong knowledge of international cuisines
- Proven track record of developing successful menus
- Ability to manage and motivate a team
- Excellent communication skills
- Must be able to work flexible hours, including weekends
Salary:
We offer a competitive salary of $1700 per month for this contract position.
