Job Title: Preservation Architect (Contract Position) - Karachi



We are seeking a skilled and experienced Preservation Architect to join our team in Karachi on a contract basis. As a Preservation Architect, you will be responsible for preserving and restoring historical buildings, monuments, and structures. Your main goal will be to conserve the historical integrity of these structures while also ensuring they meet modern safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:
- Conducting thorough assessments of historical buildings and structures to determine necessary preservation efforts
- Developing preservation plans and strategies in accordance with local regulations and international preservation standards
- Collaborating with engineers, contractors, and other professionals to carry out preservation projects
- Overseeing construction work on site to ensure it aligns with the preservation plan
- Utilizing specialized techniques and materials for preserving historical structures, such as masonry repairs, timber treatments, etc.
- Conducting regular site visits to monitor progress and address any issues that may arise
- Providing technical expertise and guidance to clients, stakeholders, and team members on preservation matters
- Maintaining accurate records of all preservation work, including budgets, timelines, and project documentation

Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture or a related field
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Preservation Architect
- Extensive knowledge of local regulations and international standards for preserving historical structures
- Strong understanding of architectural design principles
- Proficient in CAD software
- Excellent project management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong communication skills for collaborating with various stakeholders
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
