Network and Systems Administrator

Are you a tech-savvy problem solver with a passion for keeping networks and systems running smoothly? We are seeking a skilled Network and Systems Administrator to join our team in Faro. As a member of our IT department, you will be responsible for maintaining and updating our network infrastructure, troubleshooting any issues that arise, and ensuring the security of our systems.

Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor network performance and troubleshoot any connectivity or performance issues
- Install, configure, and maintain network equipment such as routers, switches, firewalls
- Implement and maintain security protocols to protect against cyber threats
- Manage user accounts, permissions, email accounts, and other system access controls
- Troubleshoot hardware and software issues for desktops/laptops/printers
- Conduct regular backups of data to ensure business continuity
- Stay up-to-date with new technologies and make recommendations for improvements to network infrastructure

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field preferred
- Minimum of 2 years experience as a Network and Systems Administrator or similar role
- Strong knowledge of networking protocols (TCP/IP), LAN/WAN configurations, VPNs
- Experience with Windows Server/Active Directory administration
- Familiarity with firewalls, intrusion detection systems (IDS), and other security tools
- Knowledge of backup solutions such as Veeam or Acronis is a plus
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment

Salary: 1500$ per month (negotiable based on experience)
Location: Faro, Portugal (local candidates preferred)
