Interpreter (Visa Sponsorship Available)

We are seeking a skilled Interpreter for our growing language services company in Almada. As an Interpreter, you will be responsible for providing accurate and timely interpretation services for clients in a variety of settings, including meetings, conferences, and appointments. The ideal candidate will have a strong command of both English and a second language, excellent communication skills, and at least 2 years of experience as an interpreter. Responsibilities:
- Provide interpretation services for clients in various settings, including meetings, conferences, and appointments
- Accurately convey messages between parties while maintaining cultural sensitivity
- Utilize specialized vocabulary and industry-specific terminology as necessary
- Conduct research on unfamiliar topics to prepare for interpretation assignments
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to professional standards at all times
- Act as a cultural liaison between clients from different backgrounds
- Keep detailed records of interpreted conversations for future reference

Requirements:
- Fluent in both English and a second language (Portuguese preferred)
- Proven experience as an interpreter (at least 2 years)
- Excellent verbal communication skills
- Strong command of grammar, spelling, punctuation, and syntax in both languages
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines
- Cultural sensitivity and understanding of diverse backgrounds
- Strong research skills to prepare for interpretation assignments
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to professional standards

Salary: $1300 per month

Location: Almada (visa sponsorship available)
