Job Title: Temporary Executive Chef
As a Temporary Executive Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing the culinary operations of our restaurant in Porto. You will oversee and train kitchen staff, create and update menus, manage inventory and food costs, and ensure all dishes are prepared to the highest standards. This is a temporary position with a salary of 1400$ per month, without accommodation.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the kitchen
- Train and supervise kitchen staff in proper food preparation techniques
- Create and update menus to meet customer preferences and seasonal availability
- Manage inventory and food costs to ensure profitability
- Ensure all dishes are prepared to the highest standards of quality and presentation
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen at all times
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations
- Collaborate with the front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service for guests
Requirements:
- Proven experience as an Executive Chef or similar role
- Experience in creating and updating menus based on customer preferences and seasonal availability
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to train and supervise staff effectively
- Knowledge of best practices for managing inventory and food costs
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Biometric passport or eligibility to work in Porto, Portugal
