Executive Chef - Portuguese Cuisine (Porto, Portugal)


We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Chef to join our team in Porto, Portugal. As an Executive Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our kitchen operations and ensuring the highest quality of food is served to our guests.

Responsibilities:
- Develop and create menus that showcase traditional Portuguese cuisine while incorporating modern and innovative techniques
- Train and mentor kitchen staff on proper cooking techniques, presentation, and food safety standards
- Manage inventory and ordering of all kitchen supplies, including food, equipment, and supplies
- Monitor food costs and maintain budget for the kitchen department
- Ensure all dishes are prepared according to recipes and quality standards
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment at all times
- Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure a seamless dining experience for guests
- Stay up-to-date with current culinary trends and incorporate them into menu development

Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years experience as an Executive Chef in a high-end restaurant or hotel setting
- Extensive knowledge of Portuguese cuisine and cooking techniques
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage a team effectively
- Excellent communication skills to effectively train staff and work with other departments
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of quality
- Flexible schedule with the ability to work weekends, evenings, and holidays as needed

Salary:
We offer a competitive salary of 1600$ per month for this position.

Location:
This position is located in Porto, Portugal. Relocation assistance may be provided for the right candidate.
