Pastry Chef - Filipino Cuisine
We are a renowned restaurant in Hawalli, specializing in Filipino cuisine and we are seeking an experienced and creative Pastry Chef to join our team. As a Pastry Chef, you will be responsible for creating delicious and visually appealing desserts and pastries that complement our menu and satisfy our customers' sweet cravings.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute pastry recipes for our menu, ranging from traditional Filipino desserts to modern creations
- Prepare all pastry items according to established recipes and presentation guidelines
- Decorate pastries using various techniques such as piping, glazing, and sculpting
- Monitor inventory levels of pastry ingredients and supplies, placing orders as needed
- Maintain a clean and organized work station at all times
- Train and supervise junior pastry staff members
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure smooth operations during busy periods
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Pastry Chef, preferably in a Filipino restaurant or similar setting
- Knowledge of traditional Filipino desserts and pastries
- Creativity and ability to develop new pastry ideas
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication skills
- Attention to detail
Salary:
We offer a competitive salary of 1600$ per month for this full-time position. Other benefits include health insurance, paid time off, and opportunities for growth within the company.
