Executive Chef (Portuguese Cuisine)

As the Executive Chef, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of our kitchen operations, from menu creation to food preparation and presentation. Responsibilities:
- Create and update menus that showcase traditional Portuguese dishes with a modern twist
- Source high-quality ingredients from local suppliers
- Oversee food preparation, cooking, and plating to ensure consistency and quality
- Train and mentor kitchen staff on proper cooking techniques and presentation
- Monitor inventory levels and manage food costs
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized kitchen environment
- Collaborate with management team on special events, promotions, and menu changes
Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years experience as an Executive Chef in a fine dining restaurant or hotel setting
- Extensive knowledge of Portuguese cuisine and techniques
- Ability to create innovative dishes while also maintaining traditional flavors
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and train staff effectively
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- A keen eye for detail in presentation and plating
- Knowledge of food safety regulations
