Part-Time Construction Manager
Location: Porto, Portugal
We are seeking a highly skilled and organized Part-Time Construction Manager to join our team in Porto. As a Construction Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of construction projects, from planning to completion. This is a part-time position that offers flexible hours and the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the construction industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, schedule, and coordinate construction projects within budget and time constraints
- Obtain necessary permits and approvals from local authorities
- Hire and manage subcontractors to ensure quality workmanship and timely completion of tasks
- Monitor project progress and provide regular updates to stakeholders
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company standards
- Oversee the procurement of materials and equipment needed for projects
- Conduct site visits to assess project progress, identify issues, and implement solutions as needed
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field
- Minimum of 3 years experience in construction management or a similar role
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Knowledge of local building codes, regulations, and safety standards
- Proficiency in project management software such as AutoCAD or Microsoft Project is preferred
We offer competitive compensation of 1200$ per month for this part-time position. This is an ideal opportunity for students looking to gain practical experience in their field while studying. As this is a part-time position, applicants must have their own visa or be able to legally work in Portugal.
