Bilingual Interpreter


We are hiring a skilled Bilingual Interpreter to join our team in Faro, Portugal. As a Bilingual Interpreter, you will be responsible for facilitating communication between individuals who speak different languages. You will work in a variety of settings such as conferences, meetings, and legal proceedings to ensure effective communication.

Requirements:
- Fluency in at least two languages (English and Portuguese)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong knowledge of cultural differences and sensitivity
- Previous experience as an interpreter preferred
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle challenging situations
- Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
- Must be a student enrolled in an accredited interpreting program or have completed a recognized interpreter training course

Responsibilities:
- Provide interpretation services for clients from English to Portuguese and vice versa
- Interpret accurately and impartially while maintaining confidentiality
- Act as a cultural liaison between parties to ensure effective communication
- Prepare for assignments by researching terminology and becoming familiar with the subject matter
- Ensure that all necessary equipment is set up and functioning properly before the start of each assignment
- Maintain professionalism at all times while representing our company
- Adhere to the code of ethics and standards set by national interpreting associations

Salary:
The salary for this position is $1600 per month. We also offer free visa assistance and airfare for international candidates.

Location:
This position is located in Faro, Portugal. However, we are open to considering remote interpreters who can provide services via video or phone.
