Android Developer

We are hiring an experienced Android Developer to join our team in Washington. As an Android Developer, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining high-quality mobile applications for the Android platform. This is a contract position with a salary of 1800$ per month and includes accommodation for non-local applicants.

Responsibilities:
- Design and develop advanced applications for the Android platform
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features
- Write efficient, reusable, and maintainable code
- Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications
- Identify and fix bugs and performance bottlenecks
- Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency

Requirements:
- At least 2 years of experience in Android application development
- Proficient in Java, Kotlin or other programming languages used for Android development
- Strong understanding of Android SDK, different versions of Android, and how to deal with different screen sizes
- Familiarity with RESTful APIs to connect Android applications to back-end services
- Experience with third-party libraries and APIs
- Good understanding of code versioning tools such as Git
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail

Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or related field
- Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process
- Knowledge of UI/UX design principles for mobile devices
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment
