Part-Time Preservation Architect

We are seeking a highly skilled and qualified Preservation Architect to join our team on a part-time basis in Braga, Portugal. As a Preservation Architect, you will be responsible for preserving and restoring historic buildings and structures, ensuring their longevity and cultural significance.

Key Responsibilities:
- Conducting thorough assessments of historic buildings and structures to determine necessary preservation work
- Designing plans for preservation and restoration projects, considering historical significance, structural integrity, and budgetary constraints
- Obtaining necessary approvals from local authorities for preservation projects
- Overseeing construction work to ensure adherence to preservation plans
- Conducting regular site visits to monitor progress and provide guidance as needed
- Collaborating with other architects, engineers, contractors, and historians on preservation projects
- Maintaining accurate records of all preservation work for future reference

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture or a related field
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in historic preservation architecture
- Strong knowledge of architectural history, conservation techniques, and building materials used in historic structures
- Experience working with local authorities on obtaining approvals for preservation projects
- Excellent communication, organizational, and project management skills
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with a team
