Network and Systems Administrator



This is a contract position for a Network and Systems Administrator in Porto, Portugal. The ideal candidate should have at least 2 years of experience in network and systems administration. The salary for this position is 1200$ per month.

Key Responsibilities:

- Install, configure, and maintain network equipment such as routers, switches, firewalls
- Monitor network performance and troubleshoot any issues
- Manage user accounts, permissions, email systems, and security systems
- Create and maintain system backups and disaster recovery plans
- Develop technical documentation and standard operating procedures
- Assist with network and system upgrades or migration projects

Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field
- 2+ years of experience in network and systems administration
- Knowledge of TCP/IP protocols, LAN/WAN networking technologies, DNS/DHCP services
- Experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware or Hyper-V
- Experience with Windows Server operating system (2008/2012/2016)
- Good communication skills and ability to work independently

Preferred Skills:

- Industry certifications such as CCNA or MCSA/MCSE are a plus
- Familiarity with Linux operating system
- Experience with cloud computing platforms (AWS/Azure)
