Job Title: Entry-Level Information Security Analyst


We are seeking a highly motivated Entry-Level Information Security Analyst to join our growing team in Almada. As an Information Security Analyst, you will be responsible for identifying and mitigating potential security risks, conducting security assessments, implementing security measures, and providing support for various security systems. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of information security principles and a willingness to learn and grow in this fast-paced field. Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular security assessments and audits to identify potential vulnerabilities
- Monitor network traffic for any suspicious activity
- Analyze and respond to security incidents
- Implement and maintain various security systems such as firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and antivirus software
- Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and developments in information security
- Collaborate with other teams to identify potential risks in new projects or systems
- Provide support for internal users on all aspects of information security

Requirements:
- A degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field
- Knowledge of information security principles such as confidentiality, integrity, and availability
- Familiarity with common network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP)
- Experience with common operating systems (Windows, Linux)
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to think critically under pressure
- Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with other teams
- Willingness to learn new technologies and adapt to changing environments

Preferred Qualifications:
- Certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CEH (Certified Ethical Hacker), CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional)
- Experience working with SIEM tools (Security Information & Event Management)
- Knowledge of scripting languages such as Python or PowerShell
- Previous experience in a similar role or internship in information security
