Information Technology Manager


As an Information Technology Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our company's technology infrastructure. This includes managing a team of IT professionals, implementing and maintaining systems and networks, and ensuring the security and efficiency of our technology operations. Your role will also involve developing and executing strategic plans for the implementation of new technologies and continuously improving existing systems. You will need to stay up-to-date with emerging trends in technology and make recommendations for improvements to enhance productivity and cost-efficiency.

In addition to technical expertise, we are looking for a candidate who has strong leadership skills and the ability to effectively communicate with both technical and non-technical team members. You should have experience managing projects from conception to completion, as well as a proven track record of successfully implementing new technologies within a company. Time management skills are essential in this role, as you will need to prioritize tasks and delegate responsibilities to your team accordingly.

Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all aspects of the company's technology infrastructure including networks, systems, hardware, software, security, etc.
- Manage a team of IT professionals by setting goals, providing guidance and feedback, conducting performance evaluations, etc.
- Develop strategic plans for the implementation of new technologies or upgrades to existing systems
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot any issues that arise
- Stay updated on emerging trends in technology and make recommendations for improvements
- Ensure compliance with data protection regulations
- Manage budgets for technology resources
- Collaborate with other departments to understand their technology needs and provide solutions accordingly
- Conduct regular training sessions for employees on using new technologies or software

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
- Minimum 5 years experience in an IT management role
- Strong knowledge of network administration, security protocols, data protection regulations, etc.
- Proficient in project management tools such as JIRA or Trello
- Excellent leadership and communication skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively
- Experience with implementing new technologies within a company
- Familiarity with cloud-based systems is a plus
- Experience managing budgets for technology resources

Location: This position is based in Braga, Portugal. Visa sponsorship is available for qualified candidates.

Salary: The salary for this position is 1100$ per month.
