We are searching for a skilled Database Administrator to join our growing team in Faro, Portugal. As a Database Administrator, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining our company's databases, ensuring their efficiency and security. You will work closely with our IT team to design, develop, and implement database systems that meet the needs of our organization.

Responsibilities:
- Monitor and maintain database systems to ensure they are secure, reliable and efficient.
- Troubleshoot any issues that arise with databases and provide timely resolutions.
- Design and implement database structures that meet the needs of our organization.
- Develop backup and recovery procedures to safeguard the integrity of our data.
- Work closely with IT team to identify database requirements for new projects.
- Ensure data is organized and easily accessible for all users.
- Continuously monitor database performance and make necessary adjustments.
- Collaborate with other teams to integrate databases with external systems.
- Train employees on how to properly use databases.

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
- Proven experience as a Database Administrator or in a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of database management systems (MySQL, Oracle, SQL Server).
- Familiarity with data backup, recovery, security protocols and disaster recovery procedures.
- Proficient in SQL coding language.
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Strong communication skills.

Preferred Requirements:
- Experience with cloud-based database management systems (AWS, Azure).
- Knowledge of programming languages such as Java or Python.
