Industrial Rope Access Technician
An Industrial Rope Access Technician performs rope access techniques to access and work at height in industrial and construction environments. They use specialized equipment and techniques to safely ascend, descend, and traverse ropes in order to perform various tasks such as inspection, maintenance, construction, and repair work.
Responsibilities:
- Perform rope access tasks in accordance with industry best practices and safety standards
- Conduct inspections and assessments of structures, equipment, and other assets at height
- Carry out maintenance, repair, installation, and construction tasks while suspended on ropes
- Ensure proper use of equipment and adherence to safety protocols at all times
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to coordinate work activities
- Keep accurate records of work performed and report any issues or concerns promptly
Requirements:
- Previous experience in industrial rope access is required
- Certification from a reputable training organization such as IRATA or SPRAT is preferred
- Proficient in using various rope access techniques for different types of tasks
- Knowledge of relevant safety regulations and procedures
- Physically fit with the ability to work at heights for extended periods of time
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions closely
- Good communication skills for effective team collaboration
- Willingness to travel for projects within the region
Salary: The salary for this position is $1400 per month.
Location: This job is located in Faro, Portugal.
Contract Type: This is a contract job with the possibility of extension or permanent employment based on performance.
Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in industrial rope access is required.
Note: This job requires working at heights which may not be suitable for individuals with fear of heights. Candidates must be comfortable working in potentially hazardous environments.
