Fitter - Mechanical Maintenance Technician


We are in search of a skilled Fitter for our mechanical maintenance team at our company in Faro. As a Fitter, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining mechanical equipment and machines. You will work closely with other technicians and engineers to ensure that all equipment is functioning properly and efficiently.

Responsibilities:
- Install, repair, and maintain mechanical equipment such as pumps, compressors, gearboxes, and valves.
- Troubleshoot any issues that arise with equipment.
- Conduct regular maintenance checks to prevent breakdowns.
- Read and interpret technical drawings and manuals.
- Use hand and power tools to assemble or disassemble machinery.
- Follow safety protocols while working with heavy machinery.
- Collaborate with other technicians to complete larger projects.
- Keep detailed records of maintenance activities.

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training is preferred.
- Proven experience as a Fitter or in a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems and equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and manuals.
- Proficient in using hand and power tools.
- Good physical stamina; able to lift heavy objects and work in tight spaces.
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Valid driver's license.

Salary: $1000/month

Location: Faro, Portugal
