Contract Database Administrator (DBA) - Lahore, Pakistan


A reputable IT company in Lahore is seeking a highly skilled Contract Database Administrator (DBA) to join our team. As a DBA, you will be responsible for the performance, integrity, and security of our company's databases. You will also be involved in the planning and development of new database systems and maintaining existing ones.

Key Responsibilities:
- Install, configure, and maintain database software
- Monitor database performance and troubleshoot any issues that may arise
- Ensure data integrity and security through regular backups and updates
- Collaborate with software developers to design efficient database structures
- Develop and implement data migration procedures between different systems
- Perform regular maintenance tasks such as indexing and purging old data
- Provide technical support to end-users for database-related issues

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
- Proven work experience as a Database Administrator
- Experience with database design, optimization, backup/recovery, and security
- Strong knowledge of SQL queries, stored procedures, and triggers
- Familiarity with various operating systems (Windows/Linux)
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Excellent problem-solving skills

Salary:
We offer a competitive salary of 1100$ per month for this contract position.
