Instrument Technician for Chemical Plant in Karachi


We are hiring an experienced Instrument Technician to join our chemical plant in Karachi. As an Instrument Technician, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing instrumentation and control systems used in the production process. You will work closely with process engineers and other technicians to ensure the safe and efficient operation of our plant.

Key Responsibilities:
- Install, troubleshoot, and repair various types of instruments including temperature sensors, pressure transmitters, flow meters, level detectors, and control valves
- Perform routine maintenance on all instrumentation equipment to ensure accurate readings and proper functioning
- Calibrate instruments according to manufacturer's specifications
- Troubleshoot and diagnose problems with control systems and make necessary repairs
- Keep accurate records of maintenance activities and equipment performance
- Collaborate with process engineers to optimize control system settings for maximum efficiency
- Maintain inventory of spare parts and order replacements as needed
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations at all times

Requirements:
- Diploma or degree in Instrumentation Technology or a related field
- Minimum 2 years of experience working as an Instrument Technician in a chemical plant or similar environment
- Knowledge of various types of instrumentation equipment and their functions
- Familiarity with control systems such as DCS, PLCs, SCADA, etc.
- Ability to read technical manuals and schematics
- Strong troubleshooting skills and attention to detail
- Good communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment

Salary:
The salary for this position is 1800$ per month.
