Executive Chef
As an Executive Chef at our upscale restaurant in Braga, you will have the opportunity to showcase your culinary skills and lead our kitchen team. We are seeking a talented and experienced chef who is passionate about food and has a strong background in creating innovative and delicious dishes.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and create menus that are both creative and profitable
- Train, supervise, and mentor kitchen staff
- Ensure quality of food by conducting regular taste tests
- Oversee inventory control, purchasing, and food cost management
- Maintain high standards of food presentation and hygiene
- Develop relationships with local suppliers to source fresh ingredients
- Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure a smooth dining experience for guests
- Continuously seek out new ingredients, techniques, and trends to enhance menu offerings
- Manage kitchen budget effectively
Requirements:
- Proven experience as an Executive Chef or similar role in a high-end restaurant environment
- Excellent knowledge of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures
- Creative mindset with the ability to develop unique menu items that meet customer preferences and dietary needs
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Strong organizational skills
- Fluent in English (knowledge of Portuguese is preferred)
Salary: 1100$ per month
