Network and Systems Administrator

We are in search of a highly skilled Network and Systems Administrator to join our team in Almada. As the Network and Systems Administrator, you will be responsible for maintaining, upgrading, and troubleshooting our organization's network and computer systems. Your main goal will be to ensure the smooth operation of our network and systems, providing technical support to all users.

Key Responsibilities:
- Install, configure, and maintain network equipment such as routers, switches, firewalls
- Monitor network performance and troubleshoot any issues that may arise
- Create and maintain network documentation including diagrams, configuration files, and inventory lists
- Manage user accounts, permissions, email accounts, and access rights on our servers
- Install new software releases and system upgrades as needed
- Conduct regular backups of critical data to ensure data integrity
- Respond promptly to user inquiries for technical assistance via phone or email
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve complex technical issues

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent work experience
- Proven experience as a Network and Systems Administrator or similar role
- In-depth knowledge of networking technologies including TCP/IP protocols, VLANs, DNS, DHCP
- Experience with Windows Server administration (Active Directory) and virtualization technologies (VMware)
- Familiarity with firewall configuration and security best practices
- Ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues in a timely manner
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts in simple terms
- Able to work independently with minimal supervision
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds for equipment installation

Preferred Qualifications:
- Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) certification
- Experience with Linux server administration
- Knowledge of cloud computing services such as AWS or Azure

Salary:
We offer a highly competitive salary of $1700 per month for this position.

Location:
This position is based in Almada, Portugal. Portuguese nationality is preferred but not required.
