Tiler Assistant

We are in need of a Tiler Assistant to join our team in Funchal. This is a part-time position with a salary of 1800$. As a Tiler Assistant, you will work alongside our experienced tilers to assist with various tasks such as preparing surfaces, mixing mortar and grout, cutting tiles, and cleaning up the job site.

Responsibilities:
- Assist with preparing surfaces for tiling by removing old flooring or repairing any damage
- Mix mortar and grout according to specifications
- Cut tiles to fit around obstacles or into specific shapes
- Lay out tiles in a pattern or design as directed by the lead tiler
- Clean up job site by removing debris and ensuring all tools and materials are properly stored
- Follow safety procedures at all times to prevent accidents or injuries
- Communicate effectively with the lead tiler and other team members

Requirements:
- Prior experience in tile installation is preferred but not required
- Knowledge of different types of tile and their installation techniques is a plus
- Ability to use tile-cutting tools and other equipment safely and accurately
- Physical stamina to lift heavy materials and work on your feet for extended periods of time
- Attention to detail and an eye for precision when laying out tiles in a pattern or design
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work well within a team environment
