Mason - Construction Worker



We are currently hiring for the position of Mason in Funchal, Portugal. As a Mason, you will be responsible for constructing and repairing structures using various materials such as brick, stone, and concrete. This is an entry-level position suitable for freshers who have a passion for construction and are looking to start their career in this field.

Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret blueprints and construction plans to determine project requirements
- Lay out patterns or foundations according to plans using measuring tools
- Mix mortar or grout and spread it evenly between bricks or stones
- Align structures using plumb lines, levels, or squares
- Cut or shape bricks, stones, or blocks using hand tools or power equipment
- Install insulation or vapor barriers as required by the project
- Clean and polish surfaces using chisels, scrapers, or wire brushes
- Repair damaged brickwork or other structures using appropriate materials

Requirements:
- High School Diploma/GED preferred
- Previous experience in construction is a plus but not required
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction plans
- Strong physical stamina with the ability to lift heavy objects and work in all weather conditions
- Basic knowledge of different masonry materials and tools used in construction
- Attention to detail with good hand-eye coordination
- Ability to work in a team environment

Salary:
The salary for this position is 900$ per month. Additionally, accommodation will be provided along with a free visa and ticket for non-residents of Funchal.
