Preservation Architect


A renowned architectural firm in Almada is seeking a talented Preservation Architect to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for preserving historic buildings and structures, and will be responsible for planning, designing, and overseeing the restoration and preservation of various historic sites. This is a contract position with a competitive salary of 1400$, free visa and ticket provided.

Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough research on historical sites and structures to understand their significance and architectural features
- Develop plans for restoration, renovation, or adaptive reuse of historic buildings
- Collaborate with engineers, contractors, and other professionals to ensure the preservation work is done accurately and efficiently
- Monitor progress of preservation projects and make necessary adjustments as needed
- Manage project budgets and timelines
- Ensure compliance with local regulations and preservation guidelines
- Maintain accurate records of all preservation work done on each site

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture or related field
- Previous experience in historic preservation preferred but not required
- Strong knowledge of architectural history, materials, techniques, and conservation methods
- Excellent design skills with attention to detail
- Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp or other design software
- Strong project management skills
- Ability to work independently as well as collaborate with a team
