Librarian Assistant



We are seeking a motivated and organized individual to join our team as a Librarian Assistant in Salalah, Oman. As a Librarian Assistant, you will assist the librarian in maintaining the library collection, providing reference services, and managing library operations.

Responsibilities:
- Assist the librarian in organizing and maintaining the library collection
- Conduct inventory checks and ensure accurate cataloging and shelving of materials
- Provide reference services to library patrons, including locating materials and answering research questions
- Manage library operations such as circulation, reserves, and overdue notices
- Assist with planning and implementation of library programs and events
- Maintain a clean and organized library space for patrons
- Train new employees on library procedures and policies

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Library Science or related field preferred
- Prior experience working in a library setting is an advantage
- Strong organizational skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Proficient in using computer systems for cataloging and circulation
- Detail-oriented with strong attention to accuracy

Salary: $1600 per month

This position does not require fluency in English but proficiency is preferred. Accommodation will not be provided. Freshers are welcome to apply.
