Database Administrator

We are in search of a skilled and experienced Database Administrator to join our team in Braga. As a Database Administrator, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the organization's databases. This is a full-time position that offers a competitive salary of 1000$ per month, along with accommodation and support for obtaining a biometric passport. Responsibilities:
- Design, implement and maintain databases according to the organization's needs
- Monitor database performance and troubleshoot any issues that arise
- Develop data models and ensure data accuracy and integrity
- Implement security measures to protect the organization's data
- Collaborate with other IT professionals to ensure efficient database operations
- Perform regular backups and disaster recovery procedures
- Train employees on database usage and best practices

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field
- Proven work experience as a Database Administrator or similar role
- Strong knowledge of database management systems (e.g. MySQL, SQL Server)
- Experience with database design, data modeling, and performance tuning
- Familiarity with backup and disaster recovery procedures
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail

Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with cloud-based databases (e.g. AWS RDS)
- Knowledge of programming languages (e.g. SQL, Python)
- Certification in database administration (e.g. Oracle Certified Professional)
