Junior Accountant

As a Junior Accountant, you will be responsible for assisting with various accounting tasks such as bookkeeping, preparing financial statements, and reconciling accounts. You will also have the opportunity to learn from experienced accountants and gain hands-on experience in the field.

We are specifically seeking candidates who are looking for part-time employment, without previous experience in accounting. We also provide accommodation options to our employees who may need it.

Responsibilities:
- Assist with bookkeeping tasks such as recording transactions, maintaining ledgers, and reconciling accounts
- Prepare financial statements and reports
- Analyze financial data and identify discrepancies or errors
- Communicate with clients to gather necessary information
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes
- Participate in audits and ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field (may be waived for exceptional candidates)
- Strong mathematical skills with an attention to detail
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel or other similar software
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team

Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous internship or part-time experience in accounting or finance
- Knowledge of accounting principles and regulations
- Fluency in Portuguese (our team is multilingual)
