Part-time Preservation Architect in Faro

We are in need of a skilled and experienced Preservation Architect to join our team on a part-time basis in Faro. As a Preservation Architect, you will be responsible for preserving and restoring historical buildings and structures, while also ensuring that they meet modern safety and building codes.

Key Responsibilities:

- Conducting thorough assessments of historical buildings and structures to determine necessary restoration work
- Creating detailed preservation plans that adhere to safety codes and regulations
- Collaborating with construction teams to oversee the implementation of preservation plans
- Conducting regular site visits to monitor progress and address any issues
- Working with local authorities to obtain necessary permits and approvals for restoration projects
- Researching historical building materials and techniques for accurate restoration
- Providing expertise on preserving architectural elements such as facades, roofs, windows, and interiors
- Maintaining accurate documentation of all restoration work and expenses

Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree in Architecture or related field (Master's preferred)
- Minimum of 3 years experience as a Preservation Architect
- Strong knowledge of historic preservation principles, techniques, and materials
- Familiarity with local building codes and regulations
- Excellent project management skills
- Attention to detail and ability to work independently
- Strong communication skills for collaborating with various teams

Salary: $1600 per month (based on experience)
