Executive Pastry Chef - Mecca, Saudi Arabia
A prestigious hotel in Mecca is seeking an Executive Pastry Chef with a passion for creating delectable desserts and pastries. As the Executive Pastry Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing the pastry kitchen and managing a team of pastry chefs to ensure high-quality and visually appealing desserts are served to our guests.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and create new dessert and pastry recipes that align with our hotel's brand and concept
- Train, supervise, and inspire a team of pastry chefs to maintain the highest standards of quality in all pastries and desserts prepared
- Manage inventory and ordering of all pastry ingredients to ensure freshness and minimize waste
- Collaborate with other departments such as Banquet, Restaurant, and Room Service to ensure timely delivery of pastries and desserts for events or guest orders
- Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked pastry kitchen at all times
- Adhere to food safety standards and regulations
- Stay updated on current industry trends in pastry-making techniques, ingredients, and plating styles
Requirements:
- Proven experience as an Executive Pastry Chef or similar role in a luxury hotel or restaurant setting
- Creativity in developing new dessert recipes while also maintaining classic favorites
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and train a team
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Knowledge of food safety regulations
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays when needed
Salary: $1100/month (tax-free) plus benefits including housing allowance, transportation, medical insurance, annual leave
